Incomparable Nina Simone, with her deep and recognizable voice, tells about horrific atrocities, calling hanging by the neck black people Strange Fruits. She voices these terrible scenes, where lots of African Americans being in slavery, were hanging just like that with tied hand and/or legs, many of them were deformed and mutilated and the same she sings: hanging ‘fruits’, burning flesh, dismembered bodies, torn families, killed personalities.
