I Started a Joke Lyrics
I Started a Joke Song Lyrics
I started a joke, which started the whole world crying
But I didn't see that the joke was on me, oh no
I started to cry, which started the whole world laughing
Oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was on me
I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes
And I fell out of bed, hurting my head from things that I'd said
Til I finally died, which started the whole world living
Oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was on me
I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes
And I fell out of bed, hurting my head from things that I'd said
'Til I finally died, which started the whole world living
Oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was on me

Epic ethno gothic – thus you can describe the genre of the song. There is a game on unity and co-existence of contradictions, which complement each other. A girl sings that as soon as she told a joke – the whole world immediately began to cry, but as she began to cry – the world laughed. And when she died – it gave life to the world. Somehow, things change quite the opposite, because some particular joke clung to her and in a mystical way did not give her to convey her thoughts to others.
