John Denver is a legendary person. In 1997, everyone was devastated by his death caused by plane crash (and that is another reason not to fly planes as they may kill you). This song has been written and composed by him among the other 300 songs – and they were all very nicely sold that made him one of the best selling artists in 1970ies. This song is telling the simple truth: some days are diamonds and some days are stone. That is so deep, in fact, and very true. Nothing simpler would suit to describe our lives than this metaphor. He also adds that sometimes, hard times won’t leave us alone and we simply have to get through them.
