Ziggy Stardust was one of David Bowie’s creations and one of many of his alter egos. After this song, he invented this character and was even named as the one for several years, as the scenic pseudonym, from 1972 to 1974.
In this particular glam rock oeuvre, he tells in his own manner – many different thoughts that are deep or absolutely messy – it depends on the way you look at lyrics. This Ziggy was a great guitar player & when he died, the storyteller had to cease the band’s existence, as there was no major leader anymore.
