Run Through the Jungle Lyrics
Run Through the Jungle Song Lyrics
Whoa thought it was a nightmare
Lord it was so true
They told me don't go walking slow
The devil's on the loose
Better run through the jungle
Better run through the jungle
Better run through the jungle
Whoa don't look back to see
Thought I heard a rumblin'
Calling to my name
Two hundred million guns are loaded
Satan cries "take aim"
Better run through the jungle
Better run through the jungle
Better run through the jungle
Whoa don't look back to see
Over on the mountain, thunder magic spoke
Let the people know my wisdom
Fill the land with smoke
Better run through the jungle
Better run through the jungle
Better run through the jungle
Whoa don't look back to see

This isn’t the first item in this collection done by Creedence Clearwater Revival. These country rock guys know how to entertain. This time they do something in between of roots rock and country rock. This song is about war, which is too much for a guy. He runs away in the vainly attempt not to be a part of it, to hide, to make people adopt his wisdom (make love, not war), and he just can’t stand watching as Satan rules people’s brains to order them to load their guns (millions of them) and start killing each other. So he runs over the mountains, through the jungles, to avoid all this nightmare.
