This is a folk guitar song, where a singer Josh Ritter with pretty sad voice sings of how he once knew a girl, who made him a shirt from dimes and fives. He couldn’t stay any longer in Illinois and now this girl is gone from his life, but every time he wears this attire, he recalls her. He was wandering across the country, spending time from here to there, staying in one place for not too long. But since then he never had such a girl, who would comfort and suit him and he regrets.
