Review
November, 25th 2016In here, Pharrell Williams sings that he craves for some girl around. That’s all for the essence. And this all is stretched at not less than 66 lines of the lyrics! At first, the artist says that he sees some girl. But he is afraid to come closer to her and to talk to. He is literally in anxiety. He perceives own lust towards her as love (you know, we must tell that lust is almost equal to love nowadays – almost everyone sings or it is depicted in some movies just as some girl or a boy sees a boy or a girl accordingly, they think they are in love with them. But what do they feel is nothing but the lust – the evolutionary mechanism given to us by Nature that works the best to reproduce. Love comes after 3…7 years after people live together – if they really fit together, supportive, don’t quarrel, and hide no secrets from each other. In this case, the bond that connects them may be called love. But seems like our society doesn’t have that much time to wait and rather want to define the other surrogates as ‘love.’ It fits show business the best way. But totally denies the basics of strong mutually supportive love. Again, what people feel when they gaze at each other is only affection and nothing more – keep that in mind). So the singer tells further that he feels his ‘love’ is flowing and trickling like a juice from him, as he wants this girl to be nearby. He wanders the streets thinking only about her and how would it be the best for him to receive this girl. Eventually, he asks some people to help him as he is on the sidewalk and he craves to know her. He feels the pain inside & even begs this girl to take everything she wants from him, but she ain’t gotta do that, as she wants nothing. We even aren’t sure that this girl, about whom he sings, even knows what he feels like now. Eventually, all these pink snots end with nothing – he same wanders around the streets singing of his undivided love.
Well, from analyzing the lyrics, we make the only possible conclusion about the historical and essential value of this song – it will not last in years. Just as soon as this motion picture is forgotten, the entire bunch of songs to it will also be forgotten. Even more, this is supported by the exclusively underlined ‘southern’ character of this song and the lachrymose tone of singing by Mr. Williams. Well, in this way, he is similar to absolutely white Justin Timberlake, but copying someone else may not always be a good solution. Reference: Pharrell Williams production discography
Crave lyrics - Pharrell Williams

Crave Song Lyrics
Eh, come on!
Move it like that
Bring it here, can you move like that?
Huh, move like that
Looking here, can you move like that?
It keeps me up (Crave)
Anxiety (Crave)
May be more than
But she ain't got [?]
I get another (Crave)
Can't get no sleep (Crave)
My love is pouring
From [?] but she ain't got [?]
Bang, bang, feel the pain
Everybody feel the pain
Bang, bang, feel the pain
Everybody feel the pain
So, help me, I'm on the sidewalk
I'm gonna know her
Walking back and forth
So, help me, I'm on the sidewalk
I'm gonna know her
Walking back and forth
Oh, girl
Take what you want (Crave)
Take what you need (Crave)
Fool me around, babe
But she ain't got [?]
So go, you know you're free (Crave)
You shoot me down, baby
But she ain't got [?]
(Bang, bang, feel the pain
Everybody feel the pain)
Oh, you got me in the heart baby
Craving, you got me craving
Craving, you got me craving
So, help me, I'm on the sidewalk
I'm gonna know her
Walking back and forth
So, help me, I'm on the sidewalk
I'm gonna know her
Walking back and forth
Help me, ah-ha
Help me, ah-ha
Help me, ah-ha
Help me, ah-ha
Girls in the front, can you feel that crave?
Oh, can you feel that crave?
Girls in the back, can you feel that crave?
Oh, can you feel that crave?
Girls in the room, can you feel that crave?
Oh, can you feel that crave?
Girls in the room, can you feel that crave?
(Craving, you got me craving
Craving, you got me craving)
So, help me, I'm on the sidewalk
I'm gonna know her
Walking back and forth
So, help me, I'm on the sidewalk
I'm gonna know her
Walking back and forth
Oh, girl
Help me, ah-ha
Help me, ah-ha
Help me, ah-ha
Help me, ah-ha
