Fairytale in the Supermarket

The Raincoats Lyrics

Fairytale in the Supermarket Song Lyrics

It makes no difference
Night or day
No one teaches you how to live
Cups of tea are a clock
A clock a clock a clock
Cups of tea are a clock
A clock a clock a clock
The times I forgot but never forgot
I don't know the books that you read
But you don't say
That love never externalizes
You're rereading a book
To feel reassured
By the life of your favorite hero
But don't worry, honey don't worry
This is just a fairytale
Happening in the supermarket
The roots of your thoughts
They're essentially polaroidal
When you look at my picture
Don't say it's your mirror
Don't say we're both paranoid
Tear me make me glad
Don't ask me anything
I'm no secret agent
Got no colours to give to you
But don't worry, honey don't worry
This is just a fairytale
Happening in the supermarket

About

December, 28th 2016
Invigorating rock by The Raincoats band. It is about the absence of truth & reality in our lives. The stories from the books are the stories re-told in the style of glossy but lifeless supermarkets, even if they are about the life of your adorable hero – the way these books are written is the safe way, a secure way, when nothing is threatening to the life of your hero, he will come out victorious from every single situation. The life in the style of Polaroid – everything is matted or glanced; the real life isn’t real anymore, it is just a reflection. The music may be a little superfluous for such lyrics.
