Lady GaGa, who's the other name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, is absolutely the brightest example of how a person who doesn't look good or doesn't have a gorgeous body, can succeed in the show business. The hugest spring for her career was 'Alejandro' but electro pop song 'Bad Romance' was something very special. This song was included in many collections and in many shows of Lady GaGa. It has an enormous quantity of remixes. It was sung in different languages, including French. The chart position of this song was as long as two years – 2009 and 2010. It is more than ten countries where it has been rated as platinum and several times platinum. The most vivid example was in the United States when it has become 11 times Platinum (!!!) with at least 5.6 million copies sold solely on the territory of US. Other countries, which rated the certification, were: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
And the end-of-year positions of this song were also high. For example, in Ireland, it was 10th and in the United States, it was 17th.
The song topped weekly charts of many countries at the position number one, namely: Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Finland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, the UK, and the US.
This song was recognized as one of the most influential songs of the pop business. Lady Gaga herself is the icon of unpredictable style. She topped not only the pop charts but even the alternative charts. The idea of the clip is revealed in the very wide synopsis on Wikipedia. This has become possible only due to the huge popularity of the clip and the song (it is a rare occasion when the clip/song has the synopsis on Wiki). The choreography from this clip is often compared with Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' choreography. This fantastically successful single followed another load thing – 'Paparazzi' of the 2009 year.
The entire idea of bad romance follows the personal perception of the artist about interrelations between people. She obviously dislikes the idea that romance and can be good and pure. It was presented for the first time at Alexander McQueen's show in Paris in 2009. Many items in this clip where surreal but the overall perception was absolutely outstanding.
Lady GaGa works into only in two musical genres – they are dance pop and electro pop and she sometimes plays the piano. She started her extensive career in 2005. But the huge success fell on her in 2008, only three years later. She is not only a singer currently. She's a philanthropist, she has started her own foundation, she does a lot to be the advocate of LGBT movement.
She has five studio albums and several more compilation albums; she has 25 separate singles and she has starred in six films. Only one of them can be considered a full-fledged film; it is named ‘Machete Kills’ of 2013, where she had a small role. Every other participation was in documentaries or as cameo appearances. She even contributed to the film of Katy Perry 'Part of Me'. But in addition to video films and lots of successful clips, she also participates broadly in the television shows. These are ones on HBO, MTV, NBC, Fox, and ABC channels. She also had insignificant parts on the serial movies like 'American Horror Story'. But mostly these are the standard TV programs like ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’, ‘Saturday Night Live’ or ‘American Idol’. One hilarious moment was when she participated in ‘The Simpsons’ in 2012 depicting herself, honored to be Lady GaGa in the Simpsons' universe (‘Lisa goes Lady Gaga’ episode).
It is actually hard to tell which pop songs of 2000th and 2010th have much more importance, significance, and influence on the entire pop show business than this one.
