Kool & The Gang are performing in funk and rhythm & blues, but this song named 'Hollywood Swinging' is performed in the funk genre solely. Nothing really particularly interesting, if to speak from the position of knowledge and style of today's show business, but it is pretty fitting to the style of this movie where everybody is dancing and partying. The guy is telling about the life in Hollywood, where there are lots of fancy cars, houses, movies, women & other kinds of entertainment.
