Take on Me
A-Ha Lyrics
Take on Me Lyrics
Take on Me Song Lyrics
Talking away
I don't know what I'm to say
I'll say it anyway
Today's another day to find you
Shying away
I'll be coming for your love, OK?
Take on me (take on me),
Take me on (take on me)
I'll be gone
In a day or two
So needless to say
I'm odds and ends
But I'm me stumbling away
Slowly learning that life is OK.
Say after me,
"It's no better to be safe than sorry."
Take on me (take on me),
Take me on (take on me)
I'll be gone
In a day or two
Oh, things that you say, yeah—
Is it life or just to play my worries away?
You're all the things I've got to remember
You're shying away
I'll be coming for you anyway
Take on me (take on me),
Take me on (take on me)
I'll be gone
In a day
Take on me (take on me),
Take me on (take on me)
I'll be gone
In a day

One of the best pop songs of A-Ha band. It basically made them fabulously famous worldwide. The main peculiarity of this clip is that it is almost all pencil-drawn. It has some story line and a few transportations between the drawn world and a real one. The song itself is about love – of course. The guy will look for a girl and will lunge to her love. Eventually, he fails in this and tries to say to himself that life is okay even this way but the convincing is not too good. When until some day, the guy will fade away without such a love. ‘Take on me’ is a regular expression but with an odd meaning.
