Doowit

Pharrell Williams’s piece made in the R’N’B and funk genres that embrace several singers under one umbrella. Doowit means ‘do it’, of course, and it is pronounced in a way to emphasize on the imperative meaning of this expression. The meaning of a song is the explanation of actions of the protagonist – what he does and what plans to do. For instance, taking out the gun or shooting at someone when the one will sit still. Word ‘bounce’ is again used (the previous use was in ‘Despicable Me’ piece). ‘Do it’ is most often repeated here. The entire length is devoted to asking what’s a competitor gonna do.
