Top Gun album description:Top Gun was a major breakthrough for a young Tom Cruise. In those days, he had crooked teeth (as he wasn’t a big star yet with many millions to make his smile truly perfect as it is now). The soundtrack to this movie contains fabulous Take My Breath Away by Berlin – a band who managed to write unbelievable song, which entered in best top tens of every possible list of music hit parades of almost every country. The lyrics of this pop piece may not be the perfection itself, but the main thing here is music, which more than fascinates.
The next jewel here is Heaven in Your Eyes by Loverboy, which remains a great thing to sing and to cover even 30 years have passed since its record. It was on 12th position on its peak in US Billboard Hot 100. Great Balls of Fire by Jerry Lee Lewis was to underline the toughness of the main character (which can really be called hero in this movie). You know, by the way, maybe this movie really triggered something heroic in the Mr. Cruise’s soul, as he is famous mostly with his action-movies roles. Although he definitely has a drama talent (which was so deeply revealed in his Interview with the Vampire with Brad Pitt, Kirsten Dunst and Antonio Banderas, as well as in Rain Man with Dustin Hoffman), we all remember him best of all out of his fast and flashy movies like ‘Mission: Impossible’ (all parts), ‘War of the Worlds’, ‘Oblivion’ and ‘Edge of Tomorrow’. And he definitely will be a new action hero in upcoming ‘The Mummy’ of 2017. Thought in ‘War of the Worlds’ he depicted a rather weak person, who was trying to overcome obstacles, many of which were incompatible with life for surrounding people.
The Righteous Brothers performed one of their most tender lyrical songs, not only in this collection, but at all. And the most part of other songs is fast and shouting.
