The Betrayal by Rob Gardner
And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto
Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? And again he went away,
And prayed. And when he returned, twice he found them asleep again. And the
Third time, he saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is
Enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands
And while he yet spake, lo, Judas came, and with him a great multitude.
Whomsoever I kiss, That same is he: Take him and lead him away, Lead him
And he goeth straightway to Jesus, and kissed him.
Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
And Peter drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's.
CHOIR (In Aramaic)
Ktush! Ktush! Qum, ktush! Qum, ktush!
(Fight! Fight! Rise, Fight! Rise, Fight!)
Then said Jesus unto him, Put up thy sword. Thinkest thou that I cannot now
Pray to my Father, and he shall give me more than twelve legions of angels?
The cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?
Then laid they hands on Jesus, and took him.
The others flee, How soon He is forsaken.
And shall I flee?
Abandon Him to face this all alone?
But He won't fight.
Is He willing to allow this foul deceit?
Still, I must follow...

Are we this night set free?
Are we now slaves no longer?
Mary come, They have taken our Lord away.
And I follow behind...
They have taken thy Son!
