The Big Mystery Was Hidden Since 2014

Big boom on superheroes has not deprived of attention even children. Definitely, it is not a Superman  cartoon, we are referring to the film, where a little boy is the main fundament of the plot. Does it seem not very exciting? Add to the story adult actress Kirsten Dunst (who was a girl of Spiderman and before that, as a very young girl – in fantastically vivid Interview With The Vampire of 1994 with Brad Pitt, Antonio Banderas and Tom Cruise), the eminent director Jeff Nichols and get exactly what you need. The film was preparing to roll out for nearly three years or a little less so now we are able to appreciate this picture. So far, however, only by the trailer. What do we see there? Is this the long-awaited premiere that would be so significant? Does the film worth its expected rating of 98%?

What would you say if you could see how someone's eyes light up? No, the cause of it isn't in bright lens or a good lightning, it is also not because of blood of a werewolf, but shining like spotlights? So, as we have said, the main character is a boy whose father discovers superpowers in his son. What to do in such a situation? Tell all the media? Call exorcist and turn to religion? Share what is happening with the relatives? No. The boy's father decides that the best thing they can do is escape. Run as fast as possible, and further, it is desirable not to look back. They should do so just to ensure that no one knows not a thing, especially journalists, capable to find out anything and anywhere. But things get more complicated after the journalists stop being the main enemy of this unusual family. Now government agents hunt for the boy, as they also want to solve the mystery of this child and use his great abilities for their own purposes.

Critics’ reviews

As for now, there is a majority of positive opinions, but this is only a preliminary result. Of course, we have not seen so many grown-up films about children, but this is not something radically new. What would surprise us writers with? Firstly, a decent boy’s ability to act. Young actors who are really able to make the audience believe what is happening, are really rare gifts. The original story, after all, also matters. The boy did not soar into the air, did not grow wings nor became a mermaid, so the plot with his glowing super-eyes can even be considered as original one. Excellent team also became a plus for the movie. Dunst is a very good actress, besides, she already had the experience of playing in the superhero movie (here we remind you about Spider-Man again), although since then, much time has passed. However, we sincerely believe this movie is worth watching (at least, the trailer).
