The only thing that slightly offended fans, is a quote from the Guy Ritchie himself, who unflatteringly said in comparison with the very famous and favorite characters: the main character of Star Wars. The director said that the good and positive characters are too boring, so it is more of Arthur bad guy, something even the villain, which is to more intrigue viewers than it'll be done by his good copy. Time will tell how these wars between Ritchie's supporters and opponents will end.
