Apocalyptic Z

Z. How many things in one letter… What associations do you have? We remember, of course, about the main character, whose symbol was this mark: Zorro. First thoughts instantly take us away in sultry Spain, somewhere to the conquistadors, lovely woman with red roses in black hair, but they are rather the stereotypes that lead us to the famous performer of this role, Antonio Banderas. Zorro was one of the most iconic characters in his performance, as well as Puss in Boots from Shrek  cartoon, for who Banderas gave his charming voice, a spy from the movie Spy Kids, handsome hero in the film Desperados and many, many others. Also, Zorro was played by movie giants such as Anthony Hopkins, Alain Delon and many others. But why we remembered about the hero Zorro? Quite simply, one of the young, budding filmmakers decided to shoot a new adaptation, which we are obliged to tell you about!

Who is the director?

Jonas Cuaron will become the new founder of the tape about the immortal hero. Jonas is the son of famous film director Alfonso Cuaron, who gave us many beautiful films. Jonas decided to continue directing dynasty and follow the footsteps of his father; by the way, he had a very good debut in the film "Gravity", one of the last films from Cuaron. Jonas immediately gained fame of a very enthusiastic about art in general and cinema in particular human. His passion and attitude, with which he approached to the creation of the project, should be admired. Colleagues say that they are very lucky to have such a leader and director, because father has learned Jonas a lot, but his willing to bring something new into his work is not lesser option. Jonas has a great responsibility for writing the script. Production and promotion of the motion picture will be engaged by independent companies.

What to expect from the new picture?

Of course, the film would not be a complete remake, significant changes will be made. As planned by Cuaron, all the action of the film will take place in the post apocalypse world. Here is the main character, a mystery of his image, mask, and, of course, the signature Z will be retained. We do not know yet how he would be able to weave a classic story in a new world. Names of the actors are also unknown, so the whole process of creation is shrouded in mystery. In total, there are more than 20 varieties of adaptations of the story, including even the cartoons and Japanese anime. Interest in character does not die away, and we are waiting for news from the set. Hopefully, they will not keep us waiting!
